Best Jja Jang Myun (Noodles with brown peking sauce)
Italians have spaghetti, while Koreans have Jja Jang Myun - sans the tomatoes.
It's hard to beat the Jja Jang Myun served at this Korean-Chinese locale. The brown peking sauce in this version of China's Zha Jiang Mian has just the right amount of consistency and onion flavor to keep both Korean and Chinese palettes satisfied. If you're going with a friend, order the Jjam Bong, a spicy seafood noodle soup, and split both dishes. Other K-Town places offer a 2 for 1 deal, where they serve one bowl with two separate compartments for the Jja Jang Myun and Jjam Bong. But, if you don't want to risk quality for quantity, order the two dishes separately at Hyo Dong Gak. Just make sure to ask for extra napkins. It can get a little messy.
